Front End Lead – A Proper Garden

Do you enjoy connecting with people, creating exceptional customer experiences, and working in a beautiful retail environment? We are seeking a Front End Lead to become a key member of our team at a high-end garden center serving discerning homeowners and garden enthusiasts.
This is much more than a cashier position. The Front End Lead is often the first and last person our customers interact with, making this role critical to delivering the elevated service experience that sets our garden center apart.
What You'll Do
- Welcome customers and create a warm, professional shopping experience.
- Assist customers with purchases and provide sales support throughout the store.
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Help receive, price, and merchandise incoming products.
- Monitor and maintain front-end supplies and operational needs.
- Assist with store presentation and organization.
- Open and close the store on assigned days.
- Support daily operations and help maintain a polished, inviting retail environment.
- Serve as a positive, professional representative of our brand at all times.

Qualifications:
- Friendly, confident, and highly personable.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Professional, polished appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to build rapport with upscale clientele and provide consultative sales assistance.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Dependable and trustworthy with opening and closing responsibilities.
- Retail, hospitality, luxury sales, or customer service experience preferred.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Schedule:
- Full-time position.
- Store hours are 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, seven days a week.
- Weekend availability is required.
- Opening and closing shifts will be part of the regular schedule.
Compensation & Benefits:
We are seeking an exceptional individual and offer compensation that reflects it.
- Above-market pay, ranging from $20.00 to $25.00 per hour.
